A New Camera!

The pictures I've been sharing with you until now, were taken with the Olympus camera my Dad uses for his architectural business and lets me borrow when I need to take pictures for my blogs. It's a great camera with a monitor setting and quite simple to use.

Recently, a friend of mine gave me a lovely camera as a gift! It is Pentax camera which is excellent for a wide variety of photography and features manual focusing, wide-angle lens, and has so many settings that I'm still learning how to use it! The  memory card can hold over 1,000 photos so I've been busy taking photos! :-)

Baby Bluebirds

It's nesting season now, and we've had a lot of fun watching these little bluebirds grow. There is a bluebird nest box on the Willowbank property and this afternoon we went to check on the chicks' progress and take a photo.

Aren't they so adorable?

"For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land..." Song of Songs 2:11,12

We hope to take more pictures as they get older and I'll be sure to post them here for you all to see as well!

P.S. Contrary to popular belief, looking into nests will not scare away the parents but Sara and I never stay longer than necessary and always treat the nest boxes with care. 

Yellow Roses

These lovely yellow roses are growing in one of Willowbank Hotel's gardens. They are so bright and cheerful and I had lots of fun photographing them. There are so many roses on this bush that you can smell them from several feet away!

Welcome to My Blog!

Welcome to Creation - My Point of View! I started this blog because of my love for God's Creation and photography. I am by no means a professional photographer; I'm a 15 year old, home school student who loves taking pictures of nature.

Photography has always been one of my hobbies and I started this blog to share the photos that I take. My favorite subjects are flowers, birds, and natural landscapes. Occasionally, I'll post photos of other subjects though.

It is my desire that as you look upon God's Creation, you'll be pointed to the Creator who also made you and me.
